Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta

This Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta is the ultimate comfort food that’s both rich in flavor and easy to prepare. Juicy chicken pieces are coated in a luscious creamy pesto sauce, then tossed with perfectly cooked pasta. It’s a weeknight dinner that feels like a gourmet treat.

Ingredients

  • 300g pasta (penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup pesto sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and fully cooked, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Lower the heat, pour in the heavy cream, and stir in pesto sauce. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
