Introduction
This Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta is a rich, flavorful dish that combines tender chicken pieces, al dente pasta, and a silky pesto cream sauce. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or an impressive meal for guests, this recipe comes together in just 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup pesto (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in pesto and Parmesan until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss in the sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and stir until fully coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
