Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta

Introduction
This Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta is a rich, flavorful dish that combines tender chicken pieces, al dente pasta, and a silky pesto cream sauce. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or an impressive meal for guests, this recipe comes together in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup pesto (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in pesto and Parmesan until smooth.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and toss in the sauce.
  6. Add cooked pasta and stir until fully coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
