When your sweet tooth kicks in but you want to stay on track with healthy eating, these Healthy Banana Oatmeal Cookies are the perfect solution. Made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients, they’re naturally sweetened with ripe bananas and packed with heart-healthy oats.

These cookies are soft, chewy, and great for breakfast on the go, a quick snack, or even dessert. Best of all, they’re egg-free, dairy-free, and can easily be made gluten-free—making them a clean treat everyone can enjoy.

Ingredients (Makes 12–15 cookies)

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips or raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the ingredients:
In a medium bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add in the oats, peanut butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips or raisins if using.
  3. Scoop and shape:
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each one slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers—they won’t spread much during baking.
  4. Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the cookies are firm to the touch.
  5. Cool and enjoy:
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

These cookies are kid-friendly, great for meal prep, and perfect for using up those extra ripe bananas sitting on your counter.
