Ingredients
For the biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the honey garlic glaze:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
  • Extra grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Biscuit Dough
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder (if using). Add the cubed cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to work it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add Buttermilk and Parmesan
Pour in the buttermilk and grated Parmesan cheese, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough biscuits. The dough should be slightly sticky.
  3. Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Use a biscuit cutter or a round glass to cut out biscuits. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  4. Bake the Biscuits
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  5. Make the Honey Garlic Glaze
While the biscuits are baking, prepare the honey garlic glaze. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the honey and dried parsley (if using) and cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
  6. Glaze and Serve
Once the biscuits are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush the warm honey garlic glaze over the tops of each biscuit. Finish by sprinkling extra grated Parmesan cheese on top for an added burst of flavor. Serve the biscuits warm and enjoy their sweet and savory goodness!
