Shrimp boil is a Southern classic that brings big flavor to the table without much fuss. It’s everything you want in a shared summer meal—plump shrimp, juicy corn, smoky sausage, and tender potatoes, all seasoned with bold spices and cooked in one big pot. No fancy prep needed—just good ingredients and some newspaper to eat off of!
🛒 Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp (shell-on, deveined)
- 2 ears of corn, cut into thirds
- 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1/2 lb baby potatoes
- 1 lemon, halved
- 3 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Optional: extra lemon wedges, hot sauce

📝 Instructions:
- Boil the Potatoes: Fill a large stockpot with water, add 2 tbsp Old Bay and lemon halves. Bring to a boil. Add potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes.
- Add the Corn & Sausage: Drop in corn and sausage slices. Boil for another 5 minutes.
- Add the Shrimp: Stir in the shrimp and cook for just 2–3 minutes, until pink and curled.
- Drain & Toss: Drain everything and toss with melted butter and remaining Old Bay seasoning.
- Serve: Spread over newspaper or a large tray. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Dig in with your hands!
