Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus

Ready in just 20 minutes, this Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus recipe is light, zesty, and packed with flavor. It’s a perfect low-carb, high-protein dish that works great for a weeknight dinner or meal prep.


📝 Ingredients

  • 500g (1 lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add asparagus and cook for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Cook 2 minutes each side until pink.
  5. Return asparagus to the skillet. Add lemon juice and zest. Toss to combine.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with rice, pasta, or on its own!
