Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet, pour in the honey garlic sauce, and stir well to coat.
  6. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute until thickened.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
