They’re naturally sweetened, customizable, and made with pantry staples. Whether you’re rushing out the door or need a midday pick-me-up, these bars are perfect for busy lifestyles and health-conscious snackers.

Why You’ll Love These Granola Bars:

  • Easy to make in one bowl, no baking required (optional bake version included).
  • Perfect balance of chewy and crunchy.
  • Naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup.
  • Free from preservatives and artificial additives.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • ½ cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates)
  • ¼ cup mini dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

Step 1: Toast (Optional but Recommended)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread oats and chopped nuts on a baking sheet. Toast for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool slightly.

Step 2: Combine Wet Ingredients
In a small saucepan over low heat, stir together honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter. Heat until warm and fully combined, then stir in vanilla and salt. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Mix Everything Together
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate chips (if using). Pour in the warm honey mixture and stir well until everything is evenly coated.

Step 4: Press into a Pan
Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the pan and press down very firmly using the back of a spoon or a flat-bottomed glass. Really pack it in to help the bars hold together.

Step 5: Chill
Place the pan in the fridge for at least 1–2 hours, or until set. Once firm, lift out and slice into bars.

Step 6: Store
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.

These Homemade Granola Bars are a fantastic way to fuel your day with real, whole ingredients. You can switch up the nuts, add seeds like chia or flax, or skip the chocolate for an even more wholesome version. They’re kid-friendly, lunchbox-approved, and travel-ready—what more could you ask for in a snack?
