Ingredients
- 1/2 cup ripe mango, chopped
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 to 2 tablespoons cold water, if needed
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon or cardamom
- Optional: unsweetened whipped cream or cold foam
Instructions
Step 1
Add the chopped mango to a blender with vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of cold water. Blend until completely smooth. Add another tablespoon of water only if the puree is too thick.
Step 2
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Spoon the mango puree into the bottom of the glass.
Step 3
Pour the milk slowly over the mango layer. For a prettier layered look, pour the milk over the back of a spoon.
Step 4
Add the cooled espresso or strong coffee on top. Stir gently before drinking, or leave it layered for a coffeehouse-style presentation.
Step 5
Top with unsweetened cold foam, a small pinch of cinnamon, or cardamom if desired. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Tips
Use a very ripe mango for the best natural sweetness. If your mango is not sweet enough, add a small piece of banana or a few drops of monk fruit sweetener instead of sugar. For a stronger Starbucks-style flavor, use two espresso shots.
